Position Summary:
Perform a variety of purchasing and inventory duties in support of assigned area. Monitor and stock pharmacy inventory supplies and materials. No patient care assignment

Detailed responsibilities:
* RECORDS - Maintain a variety of inventory logs and record, purchase logs, and invoices; ensure adherence to established policies, procedures and regulations
* INVENTORY - Coordinate and monitor departmental inventory control; maintain adequate stock levels; perform semi-annual inventory; place daily orders; allocate resources accordingly
* PURCHASING - Participate in the annual bid, Novation and 340B process; enter data into computer and verify data for accuracy
* LIAISON - Serve as liaison for assigned department; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies
* SUPPLIES - Issue supplies to other departments
* PRICE CONTROL - Monitor Novation and direct manufacturer contracts for price compliance
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops

Experience:
Essential:
3 years directly related experience

Nonessential:
2 years directly related experience

Credentials:
Essential:
* Certified Pharmacy Technician in NM w/in 60 days
Nonessential:
* CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days

Physical Conditions:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. May require walking or standing to a significant degree or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or may require working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of materials is negligible.
