Position Summary:
Provide professional and administrative advice, guidance and services to assigned area or department in support of the Hospitals' employee/labor relations relations function. Serve as a primary point of consultation, coordination, and/or liaison for Hospitals personnel on a range of employee and labor relations policy, contract interpretation and procedural issues, and assists in the resolution of workplace disputes and grievances. Supports Director of Employee Labor Relations in labor relations, including contract negotiations and labor-management commitees. Assist in the implementation and administration of union contracts. Ensure adherence to Federal, State Employment Law and Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* MANAGEMENT SUPPORT - Investigate and respond to internal and third party claims including: EEOC, DOL, HRD, OIG, DOH, and CYFD
* MANAGEMENT SUPPORT - Provide advice, guidance, and support to Hospitals management and staff on complex employee and labor relations issues, including grievances, employee adverse actions and performance based actions, contract and policy interpretation
* MANAGEMENT SUPPORT - Coach managers and provide assistance as appropriate in the resolution of workplace disputes
* MANAGEMENT SUPPORT - Work with Organization and Professional Development to develop and conduct supervisory training programs regarding employee and labor relations issues
* NEGOTIATIONS - Actively participate in labor contract negotiations and Labor Management Committees
* POLICY & PROCEDURE - Develop for administrative approval, implement and maintain Human Resource Policies and Procedures
* MANAGEMENT SUPPORT - Provide advice to the Director of Employee & Labor Relations regarding proactive department improvements
* SUPPORT - Work closely with legal counsel on third party claims

Physical Conditions:
