What is Rapid Hiring?

Rapid hiring is an expedited interview and onboarding process for critical roles within UNM Hospital.  This streamlined approach helps us connect qualified candidates with hiring teams more quickly, reducing time to hire while maintaining a positive candidate experience.  Selected positions may qualify for same-day or next day interviews, accelerated hiring decisions, and offers within 72 hours, allowing candidates to begin their careers at UNM Hospital sooner.

How It Works

Step 1. Apply

Submit an application through your favorite career page or at unmhjobs.com.  Be sure to include a resume, cover letter, and applicable licensure if obtained.

Step 2. Contact

Recruiter/Department leadership will reach out to schedule an interview. 

Step 3. Interview

Bring resume and any other supporting documentation that will showcase your experience and qualifications. 

Step 4. Offer

Recruiter will reach out and review details of your offer, onboarding activities, schedule start date, and provide all required information regarding New Employee Orientation.

Frequently Asked Questions

what if I do not have the proper new mexico licensure?

All required licensure and certifications for your position must be current and verified by the time you attend New Employee Orientation.  Failure to meet licensure requirements may delay your start date. 

What if I am relocating from out of state?

Full and part time team members are eligible for up to $5,000 is relocation assistance to help you relocate to New Mexico.

Are interviews virtual or in person?

Interviews can be held either virtually or in person.  This decision is at the discretion of department leadership and you will be notified of the location for your interview beforehand. 

What should I have prepared?

Come prepared with an updated resume and any supporting documentation that can showcase your expertise and qualifications.  Don't forget to dress to impress!

What happens after I accept an offer?

Your recruiter will work with you to schedule your New Employee Orientation date, review required onboarding activities, review relocation guidelines if applicable, and capture all necessary transcripts, licensure, and compliance paperwork.
