Follow the steps below to complete your hiring process and prepare for orientation. Each step is designed to guide you through what's needed-from final paperwork to getting ready to your first day.
Stay on pace on your first day
To ensure there's no delay in your start date, please complete the steps below in a timely manner. Taking care of each requirement to help keep everything on track and set you up for a smooth first day.

This section can be completed anywhere. To ensure your start date is not delayed, promptly complete the following steps.
Create a readyset account to submit required health surveys
- Visit ReadySet MyHealth
- Click "New User? Click here to begin" and follow the prompts, entering this information:
- Access/Org Code: 3007
Program Type: OHS New Hire
Population Type: New Hire - *Please use your legal name when creating your account
- Complete the Health Assessment Surveys
If you are a rehire or cannot create your ReadySet account, please call Occupational Health at (505) 272-2517.
Schedule Occupation Health Appointment
- Call Occupational Health Services at (505) 272-2517 to schedule your OHS appointment.
- When you call press Option 1 for English and then Option 3 to Schedule your appointment.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Submit Vaccination Records
Please email or fax the following vaccine records and/or titer records to Occupational Health Services.

- MMR
- Varicella
- Influenza (if done within the current flu season)
- TDAP

- TB testing results (if done within the last 12 months)
You may also bring your vaccine records and/or titer records to your in-person health screening appointment at Occupational Health Services if you are unable to fax or email them.
If required—background check
You will receive the required paperwork for submission, and if fingerprinting is required, you will be emailed instructions after employment starts.
One Visit, Three Tasks
Plan on approximately two hours to complete all required tasks: You may complete the tasks in any order you wish while on-site.

1. Your Health Screening
Location: UNMH Occupational Health, 5th floor of the main hospital. (UNMH Occupational Health Directions(opens in a new window)) Follow the signs posted in the hospital leading to Occupational Health.
Note: Please do not stop at Centralized Check-In for this appointment. Proceed to Occupational Health on the 5th floor.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you have not already sent your vaccine and/or titer records to Occupational Health, please bring them with you to your health screening. Immunization records should include:
- MMR
- Varicella
- Influenza (if done within the current flu season)
- TDAP
- Hepatitis B
- TB testing results (if done within the last 12 months)
*If Respirator Fit Testing is required for your position, you will need to shave your face before you show up for your Occupational Health Appointment. See appropriate facial hairstyles here(opens in a new window).
2. Your Drug Screening
Location: Special Collections, 2nd floor of the main hospital. (UNMH Special Collections Directions(opens in a new window))
Note: Please do not stop at Centralized Check-In for this task. Proceed to Special Collections on the 2nd floor.
An appointment is not required.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 3:00PM (MST)
- Please be sure to arrive with a full bladder.
- Upon arriving, please sign in for Tox & Drug Screen.
- Please bring an ID; driver’s license is acceptable.
- The drug screening is a urinalysis and is completely separate from the titer Occupational Health might send you to complete.
*It is recommended to complete the Drug Screening after the Health Screening in case Occupational Health requires any additional labs.
3. Your Badge Photo
Location: UNMH Security Office, 1st floor of the main hospital. (UNMH Security and Badging Directions(opens in a new window))
An appointment is not required.

- Photo must be taken before start date.
- A physical copy of a valid photo ID (such as a school ID, driver's license, state ID, etc.) is required to obtain your badge.

Instructions for Form I-9
Please review the instructions for the Form I-9 linked below. A printed copy of the Form I-9 will be given to you during your Occupational Health appointment. Bring your completed Form I-9 and original government issued IDs to orientation on Monday.

New Employee Orientation
Orientation Week
The Thursday before your start date, you will receive an email with details about your first day, including orientation information and attachments. Click your location below to view your orientation schedule.
Monday
Lomas Campus: Your first day of orientation will be held at UNM Hospital in either the Pavilion 1500 Conference Room (MAP Pavilion 1500 Conference Room) or the 2ACC Learning Center (MAP 2ACC Learning Center). You will be contacted before orientation with your room assignment. Please arrive by 8:00am.
SRMC Campus: Your first day of orientation will be held at UNM Hospital at SRMC. Please check in at the main entrance information desk. You will be contacted before orientation with additional information. Please arrive by 8:00am.
Tuesday
In-person computer learning courses begin at 8:30am at the HOPE building (MAP Hope Building Directions.
Wednesday-Friday
Orientation requirements vary depending on your job title. After your Tuesday computer learning course, you'll have access to your specific learning schedule for the remainder of the week.
