Position Summary:
Reporting through the Director of IT Data Systems, the Data Analyst II is responsible for managing and analyzing healthcare data to enhance our healthcare delivery systems. Develop and implement data analytics products, including detailed reports and interactive dashboards. Utilize advanced analytics techniques within database queries, scripting, and advanced visualization tools to deliver insights that influence operational leaders and strategic decision-makers. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising both clinical and non-clinical professionals to support work ranging from straightforward data requests to multifaceted, large-scale projects. Mentor other data analysts, guiding less experienced analysts through complex data environments and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* DATA COLLECTION – Query data from various sources including electronic health records, administrative data, and external databases
* DATA PROCESSING - Clean and preprocess data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability
* DATA ANALYSIS - Perform basic statistical analyses and provide reports based on historical data to support operational and clinical decision-making
* REPORTING - Generate regular and ad hoc reports using advanced data analytics and reporting tools; assist in the interpretation of data reports for end users
* TECHNOLOGY - Utilize software tools for the creation of data dashboards and visualizations
* PROJECT SUPPORT - Provide analytical support for projects of varying size and complexity
* DATA MANAGEMENT - Design, build, and manage complex data sets from disparate sources; lead data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure data integrity
* ADVANCED ANALYSIS - Conduct complex data analysis, including predictive modeling and trend analysis, to support strategic planning and operational improvements
* DECISION SUPPORT - Develop and present insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decisions; create comprehensive dashboards and reports
* TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION - Implement and optimize advanced tools and technologies for data analysis; explore new data sources and analytical tools to enhance analytics capabilities
* MENTORSHIP - Guide and mentor Data Analyst I personnel in their tasks and professional development
* PROJECT LEADERSHIP - Lead cross-functional projects that utilize data to drive improvements; ensure project goals align with business objectives and timelines
* INNOVATION - Explore innovative analytical techniques to improve data usage and impact on healthcare improvement
* COMMUNICATION - Effectively communicate complex data findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussions to ensure understanding for data-informed decisions
* COLLABORATION - Work with other analysts and other departments to understand and meet their data analysis needs

Physical Conditions:
