Position Summary:
Coordinate, facilitate and oversee processing of new policies, and ensures current policies are reviewed and approved within defined guidelines to maintain compliance. Consults and collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure policies and procedures are compliant with current standards of care or practice. Comprehends abstract and complex concepts and translates them to concrete, simple, user-friendly documents. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* CONSULT – Consults with subject matter experts to develop and maintain clear and concise policy and procedural documentation using sound business writing and communication skills
* CONSULT - Consult on and evaluate emerging requirements to identify gaps, interdependencies, and reconcile conflicts with proposed solutions to ensure compliance
* ASSIST - Assist with the development of policies and procedures that align with regulatory and legislative requirements
* POLICIES & PROCEDURES – Creates, proofreads, edits and formats policies and procedures
* POLICIES & PROCEDURES – Follows standardized template and style guide for the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures
* RESEARCH – Reviews and researches the cause of outstanding issues related to assigned areas and works with appropriate departments and individuals to correct
* COORDINATE – Coordinate with the Chair of the Policy, Procedure and Guideline Committee to assure new policies are reviewed and approved as well as assure current policies are reviewed timely within the two year window
* COMMUNICATION – Ensures published documents are current by communicating annual review guidelines and following up when necessary
* COMPLIANCE - Detect issues, investigate and recommend potential solutions to ensure compliance
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
* CONFIDENTIALITY - Understand and maintain strict professional confidentiality

Physical Conditions:
