Position Summary:
Research and learn administrative and operational support services/programs for a complex, integrated hospital to include coordination of strategic and fiscal planning, program development, policy/procedure development, human resources development and management; education services/programs, compliance operations, and various administrative support services and programs. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* GOALS - Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program effectiveness; makes changes required for improvement
* PLANNING - Coordinate and oversee strategic planning and goal development for the organization; monitor achievement of goals and objectives and provide reports
* COMPLIANCE - Oversee and monitor performance of assigned departments to ensure compliance with State, Federal and university policy, TJC guidelines and other health care industry standards
* BUDGET - Develop and coordinate annual budgets for the organization and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses
* COMPLIANCE - Oversee Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations compliance activities across the various hospital components
* REPORTS - Review and ensure accurate completion and timely submission of contractual, governmental, university, hospital, and other reports as required, with respect to assigned areas of responsibilities
* FUNDING - Plan and develop strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the project/program; prepare contract and/or grant proposals
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Develop and maintain project plans to plan, test and implement system and process changes required to meet assigned projects in support of organizational objectives

Physical Conditions:
