Position Summary:
Provides standard and advanced administrative duties for an executive of the hospital. Handles matters of a routine nature to conserve supervisor's time. Supervises and coordinates the activities of secretarial and clerical personnel as directed. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* POLICY & PROCEDURE - Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs
* TYPING - Type correspondence, reports, memoranda, special projects, technical papers and related material for department staff as required
* CORRESPONDENCE - Compose letters and memoranda from dictation, verbal direction, or from knowledge of Hospitals policies and procedures
* SCHEDULING - Schedule and coordinate meetings and facilities; may include making travel and lodging arrangements
* TELEPHONE - Receive, handle, and transfer phone calls and messages within the department promptly and courteously
* PAYROLL - Prepare and submit time for payroll biweekly
* TYPING - Prepare memoranda and other materials for staff and for business meetings
* INFORMATION - Collect information needed by supervisor for conferences and reports
* MAIL - Open, sort, review and distribute mail and prepare responses to routine inquiries
* SUPPLIES - Order office supplies and place items in proper storage areas
* EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES - Operate and maintain a variety of office equipment; obtain and maintain office equipment supplies
* SUPERVISION - Supervise, plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of secretarial and clerical personnel as assigned
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
* DATA ENTRY - Enter data into computer and work with various software programs to include but not limited to MS Office Suite
* FILING - Process, manage and maintain a variety of confidential files and information

Physical Conditions:
