Position Summary:
Manager and coordinate the clinical and management activities of Perinatal Services. Actively supports programs and services that are in line with long-range strategic objectives. Supports hospitals, birth centers and communicate care providers in improving maternal and infant health outcomes. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* SUPERVISION - Develop efficient organizational structure. Supervise employees and select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments; encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives
* STANDARDS - Establish specific standards and objectives; ensure implementation of and compliance with standards, objectives, and operating policies and procedures
* LIAISON - Act as liaison between patient, family, physician, clinician, and staff; serve as primary contact with CDC; build relationships across the state for ease of transfer and escalation of care
* COLLABORATE - Collaborate with government and tribal agencies, industry groups, grass root organizations and other entities statewide to improve access to quality perinatal access in our state including close collaboration with Maternal Mortality Review Committee to identify priority areas of support and intervention
* COLLABORATE – Oversee coaching calls and collaborative group sessions with hospital partners on a regular basis (weekly to several times a month)
* OUTCOMES - Support hospitals, birth centers, and community care providers in improving maternal and infant health outcomes through providing education and information on evidence-based clinical practices, assisting quality improvement initiatives and organizing site-specific learning opportunities
* EDUCATION - Leverage ongoing ECHO sessions to disseminate educational updates, best practices; provide asynchronous educational opportunities to include MOUD regional trainings, collaboration with Lifeguard MOMS to provide simulation trainings and support non-birthing hospitals in managing obstetric emergencies in collaboration with Lifeguard
* RECORDS - Maintain departmental reports and records; collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes; manage all reporting requirements, deadlines and updates
* TRAINING – Develop, coordinate and execute trainings in collaboration with the Executive Director; support education and research
* COMMITTEES AND MEETINGS - Attend technical and administrative meetings; participate in committee functions; participate in hospital-wide activities and committees; report on goals and progress as directed/requested
* GRANTS – Manage reporting and grant requirements; draft grant application for review with Executive Director and staff to research funding and grant opportunities
* BUDGET – Support Executive Director with developing and administering the department's annual budget; monitor and approve expenditures
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops

May require walking or standing to a significant degree or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or may require working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of materials is negligible.
