Position Summary:
Responsible for receiving, transporting, surplusing, and maintaining levels of computer equipment and supplies for the IT Department at University Hospitals. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* HARDWARE - Prepare computer equipment for surplus equipment disposal including drive wipe for HIPPA and personal information compliance, using appropriate documentation for audit and compliance purposes
* HARDWARE - Maintain inventory records on all computer equipment including all received equipment, hardware, and supplies. Maintain proper inventory levels on parts and supplies
* HARDWARE - Assist in IT equipment repair as needed
* HARDWARE - Assist and coordinate with IT staff to provide support and planning for moving IT equipment
* HARDWARE - Maintain, service, and replace IT hardware, including the preparation and coordination of surplus equipment disposal, according to established procedures
* HARDWARE - Perform preventive maintenance on end user computer hardware
* TEAMS - Participate in and contribute to cross-functional and interdepartmental teams and exercises
* SHIPPING & RECEIVING - Perform a variety of shipping and receiving tasks to include pre-inventory functions; assist with regular cycle process inventory
* HARDWARE - Act as backup for printer maintenance and replacement as needed
* HARDWARE - Pick up and ship computer equipment to authorized warranty and service repair facilities; return repaired equipment to service stock
* WORK ORDERS - Respond to HELPDESK tickets, maintain customer satisfaction and response times
* SHIPPING & RECEIVING - Receive and fill supply orders; stock and transport materials and supplies; ensure compliance with TJC and other regulatory agency requirements
* VEHICLE MAINTENANCE - Establish appropriate record keeping systems to reflect activities associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles; vehicle usage; prepare and maintain associated documentation and records
* ENVIRONMENT - Maintain clean, orderly and safe work areas
* COMPLIANCE - Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and local laws and UNM Hospitals' policies and procedures
* KNOWLEDGE - Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of technology
* RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Physical Conditions:
Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
