Position Summary:
Manages all aspects of project management including process mapping and redesign, process improvement, data collection, measurement, policies, practices and training. Provides a systematic and objective approach for the management and support of assigned initiatives and projects. Responsible for planning and overseeing project management to include resources, budget, and disseminating information including status updates and outcomes. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* LEADERSHIP - Plan, direct and manage Professional Practice Excellence Team (PET) staff, programs and activities; develop efficient organizational structure, select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments; encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives
* PROJECT DEVELOPMENT - Identifies and evaluates development of new projects; understands all operational components necessary to implement a project, including but not limited to capital, equipment, people, education, metrics, costs, reporting and product delivery
* PLANNING - Consider, review and develop potential strategic initiatives using process improvement protocols to make recommendations on the feasibility, viability and implementation risk of strategic initiatives
* PLANNING – Manage the planning process to include and validate strategic goals, identify and scope large scale initiatives and manage dependences between multiple projects
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Act as owner for assigned initiatives and create an environment for project completion and success
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT – Provide project management support to multiple large scale projects; assemble project teams, provide definition and oversight for strategic initiatives with a focus on process improvement: plan document and track progress; provide guidance on project progress and completion
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Consult with supervisor, team members, clinical and business managers and senior management to address causes of project issues including: providing guidance for problem resolution, process improvement, project team issues, resource requirements, project risk assessment and mitigation and removal of barriers to successful project completion
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Track large scale projects against major milestones and adjust project progress as needed
* ANALYSIS - Manipulate and derive meaning from data and apply data-driven analysis to create solutions to operational challenges
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders on key project objectives to develop buy-in and realize benefits
* ANALYSIS – Use validated metrics to monitor and derive meaning from data and apply data-driven analysis to create solutions to project challenges; identify and develop contingency plans to mitigate and address risks
* BUDGET - Assist in the management of budgets for the responsible area
* DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops

Physical Conditions:
