Position Summary:
Design, implement and operate automated human resources processes and procedures within the human resources information system. Maintain tracking and reporting mechanisms for employee records, new employee acquisition, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, employee labor relations, succession planning, credential compliance, education, and other human resources functions. Conduct analyses to develop more efficient reports and processes. Educate managers on the use of human resources data. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* RESEARCH - Research, identify and maintain "best practices" in field of data management for Human Resources functional areas. Educate Human Resources Department and functional areas about best practices
* SYSTEMS - Manage, modify, document and monitor existing operating systems to obtain maximum efficiency
* SYSTEMS - Manage and implement improved processes, programs and installation of new information systems within Human Resources
* PROCESSES - Partner with HR functional areas to determine informational needs; develop or modify processes to accurately collect data and provide credible data output for management and operational needs
* PROCESSES - Recommend, counsel and instruct HR functional areas on process improvement and implement systems capabilities
* REPORTS - Create and compile critical benchmarking data and reporting such as turnover, vacancy rates, wage data and other UNM Hospitals "Report Card" data as related to HR
* SYSTEMS - Design, manage, and maintain IT systems for compensation, employee relations, benefits and recruitment data regarding movement of employees within the UNM Hospitals systems
* COORDINATION - Design and coordinate data collection processes with other departments to provide correct and accurate user reports
* ACCESS - Process requests for access to HR data systems and reports. Maintain data access lists
* MANUALS - Prepare and approve development, updating and maintenance of operating/training manuals

Physical Conditions:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. May require walking or standing to a significant degree or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or may require working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of materials is negligible.
