Position Summary:
Assist departments by providing research, data entry and clerical functions for up to approximately sixteen hours per week. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:
* DATA - Enter or retrieve data from established computer files
* DISTRIBUTION - Open and route incoming mail, distribute correspondence and other material to department staff
* FILING - Maintain confidential files
* INFORMATION - Collect information needed by supervisor for conferences and reports
* SCHEDULE - Schedule meetings and appointment for department staff
* COPIES - Photocopy material and distribute to appropriate individual
* CLERICAL SUPPORT - Perform clerical duties such as answer telephones, direct inquiries, set up and maintain files, type correspondence and reports, and sort and distribute incoming mail
* SPECIAL PROJECTS - Responsible for the completion of at least one special project per year
* COLLABORATION - Interact with other hospital professionals in promoting the physical and psychological well-being of pediatric patients
* ACTIVITIES - Assist with providing developmentally appropriate educatinal and recreational activities to ensure social, physical, cognative, and emotional needs in the Child Life playroom, at bedside and in the Clinic waiting areas are met
* ENVIRONMENT - Assist in maintenance of the therapeutic play environment to ensure a safe, clean environment
* INFORMATION - Complete patient care/activity logs and other administrative tasks as necessary
* EVENTS - Assist with special events that occur in the Child Life Department

Physical Conditions:
