You’re a compassionate practitioner and a more than capable leader. You embrace the roles of educator, consultant, researcher and manager, because you know that your strength serves to strengthen the people around you. And you believe that being a resource means actively engaging in the improvement of the organization and the quality of care it provides.
When you join UNMH as a Nurse Practitioner within Inpatient, Primary or Specialty care, you’ll be empowered with the leadership and knowledge of the state’s only academic learning center and Level 1 Trauma center as you help to drive patient safety policy and initiatives. You’ll discover that our culture of shared governance encourages the level of collaboration, innovation, and communication that builds world-class teams and organizations. More importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to lead by example as you deliver quality health care to our communities and underserved populations.
We encourage our Nurse Practitioners to continue to advance their skills and expertise with a variety of resources, including offering CE courses, tuition reimbursement so that you can earn advanced degrees, and reimbursement for certification examination fees. You’ll also discover an array of programs and initiatives aimed at retaining your talent, improving your ability to provide quality care and advancing your level of knowledge and experience, through our journey to Magnet Recognition. All while being empowered to provide an exceptional level of care that follows our vision of being the leader in improving New Mexico's health outcomes.
