Dynamic opportunity with an emphasis on WOUND CARE at New Mexico’s only Level 1 trauma center and the state’s premier teaching hospital. Opportunity to rotate through other inpatient acute care services exists. As a member of the P.T. wound care teamyou will work closely with our orthopedic, podiatry, plastics, emergency and general surgery teams. You will be part of a rehab department encompassing both O.T.and P.T. and work with a group of highly skilled therapists and medical teams. Educational opportunities abound. Many of our therapists also teach in the UNM Physical Therapy and/or Occupational Therapy educational programs. C.W.S., or other wound care certification preferred, however, new grads and experienced therapists new to wound care are welcome. If selected, you will be supported by a strong mentorship program.
Organize and deliver medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric age groups.
