Position Summary:
Provide parking services, public relations services, enforce parking regulations and traffic control throughout parking structures and parking areas. Ensure adherence to UNM Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
* PARKING - Patrol parking structures and areas; report hazardous conditions; control parking availability as needed
* PARKING - Identify parking violations and report to supervisor
* SECURITY - Monitor security for parking structures and areas; report violations, hazardous activities and dangerous situations as needed
* ENFORCEMENT - Enforce parking regulations by coaching customers on the correct parking etiquette
* INFORMATION - Provide directions, assistance to parking patrons, emergency vehicles, busses and others as needed
* CONTROL - Assist with crowd control as needed
* PATIENT TRANSPORT - Transport patient in need using wheelchairs, hospitals gurneys and other conveniences
* COORDINATION - Provide coordination among numerous Regional departments and agencies and prepare action guidance, logistics management, operations plans and documents relating to the response to and management of a catastrophic disaster and its subsequent effects
* COORDINATION - Identify patients in need an notify appropriate agencies of emergency situations
* ENVIRONMENT - Ensure a safe, comfortable, and reliable parking environment for patients and employees in accordance with Hospitals standards
* RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

* Valid New Mexico Driver's License
* UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days
Physical Conditions:

Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work.
